I’m a 57 year old registered nurse and this practice has been the family’s vet practice from when it was located in Keppel street I’d estimate some 39 years service for my family. As you can see we have 2 dogs and 2 cats and over the years we have had many different pets and such dealings with Stewart street practice and we have always been impressed by all the wonderful staff of which I can recommend each and every one of them and commend them on their professionalism and kind hearted genuine care for our animals. I live on acres and we have had 3 dogs successfully treated for 7 snake bites so can’t speak highly enough of this amazing team. Wonderful and compassionate vets and staff for sure. Recently my 15.5 year old cat Milo passed on and had been treated with utmost care about his chronic kidney failure as old age took over. Dr Sigrid was with us every step of the way and when the day came Milo had to say goodbye she was so gentle and caring in her mannerisms that the entire fateful moment was surrounded by peace and gentle closure that helped me be able to bear his loss. This vet establishment is wonderful, they work with you and explain everything offering their treatment and care with utmost respect and dignity for your animal companion, always wanting quality of care for you both that's accessible and achievable. Kindness, competency, compassion - key ingredients in my choice of vet, which is what Stewart Street Veterinary Clinic shows in spades. Our dog, Boo, has been treated for a life-threatening condition as well as something as simple as ongoing care for his skin - and everything in between. At all times Boo has been treated wonderfully, and we, his parents, have been fully informed of procedures and costs, so there's no surprises. Highly recommend and thankful for their service.

Highly recommend!! We recently had to bring our greyhound in due to a snake bite. It was touch and go, but our vet (Meg) and the staff worked very hard to get Ernie back to health. He had to spend week in the hospital there getting better. We were amazed at the high level of customer service from all staff, but Meg was the main vet we dealt with and she was sensational - way above and beyond our expectations. We were updated every day in detail with his progress and we’re advised of the rough costs before anything was administered. James and Courtney were the other vets that took over when Meg wasn’t working and they were also amazing at updating us and looking after Ernie. The vet nurses/receptionists were also super friendly and helpful in getting our boy back to health and so nice when we visited to check up on him. We’re happy to report that Ernie is back to his normal happy self and is on his way to putting back on the weight/muscle he lost from the incident.
